Hi–Tor Pets of the Week
Cocoa is a 4 year-old female pit bull mix who came to the shelter as a stray. This sweet girl came to the shelter in pretty bad shape. She was underweight, had some skin issues and we believe she was used for breeding. She doesn’t care for cats and would prefer to be the only dog at home. Cocoa is such a sweet, loving dog who just melts in your arms, she just wants a family to be able to love!!! She knows her basic commands and responds well to verbal directions. She also loves her treats but, her favorite thing to do is snuggle close to her people. She truly connects with everyone she crosses paths with. Her new family will be so lucky to have her. Come by and meet this little sweetheart.
Lollipop is an active, energetic 2-year-old terrier girl who loves to go for long walks/hikes, so a family who is active and has the time to give her the exercise she needs would be awesome. If you have another dog, then a meet-and-great would be needed to see if they get along. She is pretty playful and would prefer to not have cats in her house. She is very friendly and enjoys the company of humans. Lollipop will shower you with all the love and affection you need. Could you be the family who will give Lollipop her forever home?
Jo Jo is an 8 months-old terrier mix puppy. The volunteers think she is adorable (babies always are). She was brought in as a stray. She is still not sure why she was left alone but, the nice people at Hi Tor are taking care of her now. Since Jo Jo is so young, she needs some work when it comes to training, basic obedience, teaching her not to chew, but, that’s typical of young pup, don’t you think? She does walk nicely on a leash, though, most of the time. She is going to be a bit of work for her forever family since she is a pup. And anyone who has had a dog knows puppies need training so it would be recommended that she lives alone without any other pets. Jo Jo would love to have some playmates or brothers and sisters of the human kind, she like kids…it would be so nice if they could grow up together. Are you Jo Jo’s forever family?
Bagura is an 8-year-old domestic short hair male. Bagura unfortunately was surrendered to our shelter because his previous owners were moving. Bagura has lived with other cats and would enjoy their company. He can start off a bit shy but becomes gentle and affectionate when he gets comfortable with you. Bagura would best in a quiet home with older children.
Angel is a 3 1/2 year-old female who came to the shelter after being found as a stray. She is a low-energy and affectionate girl. Angel would do best in a quiet, low traffic home with mature children and adults. She has not shown an interest in other cats but might do okay living with other calm cats like herself.
Mia is a Chinchilla mix female rabbit and is so gentle. She seems to trust people, and enjoys being held. Mia is under a year old. For more information, please contact Hitorbunnytrail@gmail.com.
