Stricter rules for lead testing in water fountains are forcing Rockland County public schools to close addition fountains. Districts throughout the county worked last spring to weed out fountains with high levels of lead but these new laws are forcing Rockland County to redo all previous testing. (Source: LoHud)

A pair of young Bronx residents were arrested on Wednesday after police discovered that they stole $1,371 dollars’ worth of clothing from the Victoria’s Secret outlet in the Palisades Mall. Authorities caught up to 21-year-old Deja Medley and a 15-year-old boy shortly after the two left the store. Medley was released and is scheduled for a Clarkstown Justice Court appearance on November 16th, while the boy was released to his guardian and is currently having his case handled by the Clarkstown Juvenile Aid Bureau. This morning, New York Mets star closer, Jeurys Familia pleaded not guilty to a domestic violence charge in Fort lee Municipal Court. Familia posted 1,500 dollars bail and has agreed to have no contact with the victim in this case. (Source: NorthJersey)
