The Pearl River School District will be welcoming in a new superintendent of schools next year. Current Superintendent John Morgano announced in January that he will be retiring and according to school board President Jackie Curtiss after many interviews the boards has apporved to hire Marco Pochintesta, who has been working as the Wappingers Falls School District Superintendent since 2012. Curtiss stated that Pochintesta works well with everyone in the district and he was formally a high school teacher and has worked in administrative roles. His contract details have ot been released though his salary in Wappingers Falls is $190,000 a year with $58,000 in benefits, and his predecessor Morgano received $254,000 for this school year with $57,472 in benefits.
