Former Rockland County Executive Scott Vanderhoef is taking on a new job. Vanderhoef recently announced that he has joined the Manhattan based law firm Saretsky, Katz, Dranoff, and Glass which specializes in municipal government. The firm represented Rockland County multiple times during Vanderhoef’s term as County Executive and because of their relationship the former politician will not be able to work on cases connected to county government for two years. Vanderhoef worked as an environmental lawyer under the administrations of Governors Nelson A. Rockefeller and Malcolm Wilson before he served in county politics and will return to law working out of his Montebello office as well as the firm’s Manhattan office.
