Attorney Comments on Judge’s Involvement in Homicide Case

The attorney representing Susanne Nadell- Scaccio commented on Tuesday on the accusations recently made by Clarkstown Police that Judge Howard Gerber tipped her off about a search warrant they had issued. John Edwards stated that police had requested samples for DNA comparison from his client and they had provided all of what the department asked. Edwards stated that Nadell- Scaccio has been cooperating with police since the January 25 murder of her 80- year old mother Peggy Nadell, who was a political activist and Democratic Committee member. According to Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan he has referred the accusations to the State Commission of Judicial Misconduct who will take over disciplinary recommendations. The District Attorney’s office is also looking into the possibility of criminal actions. According to Edwards if Gerber had spoken to his client about the warrant she would have informed him. When they were told about the warrants by police they had already been asked to go in and were preparing to do so.
