David Brizer, age 60, who formally worked with a Nyack Hospital drug treatment program was arrested after police found that he had been selling prescriptions for painkillers, including oxycodone pills, to dealers and others for about $300 per prescription. Through an investigation in August 2012 the Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit discovered that Brizer had not payed almost $500,000 in state income taxes, the money that he had made from the prescriptions.
