Valley Cottage Homicide Declared an Isolated Incident

Clarkstown Police are now saying that Peggy Nadell, who was found stabbed in her home on Saturday morning, knew her killer. According to police there were no signs of forced entry and the crime is officially being called a homicide by the Medical Examiner, though, the informed neighbors that it was an isolated incident and no one should feel in danger. The body of the eighty- year old Valley Cottage resident was found by her daughter, Susanne Nadell- Scaccio, she recently hired a lawyer, John Edwards of New City, who stated that his presence is to assist in police questioning. According to Edwards, Nadell- Scaccio has been cooperating with police stating, “She’s not unwilling to talk and cooperate, as she already has with police. There’s no harm having with police. There’s no harm having someone else present.” Clarkstown police are asking that anyone with information call the detective bureau at 845-639-5840 or the anonymous tip line at 1-877-639-6233.
