According to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe, a Monsey rabbi was indicted Monday on felony counts of second- degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon. According to police, 37- year old Shlomo Ettlinger, an ordained rabbi, was arrested in March of this year, after police received complaints from neighbors of suspicious behavior at his home on Blauvelt Road. Police searched his home and found one pound of marijuana, 370 grams of hashish oil, an unregistered gun and ammunition, and a total of $2,000. Police stated that five others were arrested in the investigation on lesser charges.
