An assistant bank manager for the Chase Bank on Route 17 in Tuxedo was arrested by Tuxedo Police on Sunday morning after confessing to stealing a total of $130,000 over three years from the branch’s ATM’s. 57- year old Deborah Marcarelli of Sloatsburg admitted to stealing up to $2,000 at a time while loading the ATM and was able to hide the crimes by falsifying audit reports. According to Detective Stefan Christian with Tuxedo Police, Marcarelli stole the money to pay bills after her husband lost his job in 2010. She has been charged with second- degree Grand Larcen and two counts of first- degree falsifying business records, both felony charges.
