A Stony Point man was arrested Thursday for stabbing a 26- year old man in the forearm with a screwdriver, after ignoring a court order to stay away from the younger man. According to Lt. Keith Williams, with the Stony Point Police Department, Randall Gooler, 55, was in an argument with the younger man Wednesday and was arrested on charges of second degree assault and first degree criminal contempt alleging violation of a court order of protection, a felony, and violations of second degree harassment. Gooler was also arrested on August 26 for driving wile intoxicated.
