Suspect Arrested In Stabbing Case; Lived At Helen Hayes Hospital Grounds

The suspect in the two stabbings that occurred in front of a Central Nyack bar last week, Joel Pointdujour, and his girlfriend, Kaylyn Martucci, were arrested in Saddle Brook New Jersey on Saturday night. Prior to their arrest police had searched the home of Martucci’s mother where the two were apparently living. The home is located on the grounds of Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstaw, where Kathleen Martucci is the Chief Operating Officer. According to the hospital it is required that there is always one administrative officer on campus. The hospital is overseen by the State Department of Health and according to Mary Creagh a spokeswoman for helen hayes, Pointdujour was not living at the address, though he wrote it as his residence according to Detective Stephen Cole- Hatchard with the Clarkstown police department. The pair are being held at the Bergen County Jail where they will be seen in court Thursday, Pointdujour on two charges of attempted murder and Kaylyn Martucci on charges of two counts of hindering prosecution. Police have stated that the stabbings were not gang related.
