With the threat of bad weather for this long holiday weekend; here is a list of spots around the county to catch the fireworks.
Nanuet will hold their fireworks July 3rd at the high school along with a concert by the Sixties Show and a flying demonstration by the Rockland County Radio Control Club. Remember to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Provident Bank Park will hold their weekly Thursday night fireworks and will have their annual fourth of July hot-dog eating contest, they take on the New Jersey Jackals at 6:30 pm.
Nyack will hold their fireworks at Memorial Park the free concert starts at 8 pm Thursday. Pearl River will begin their fireworks at 9:45.
Stony Point will have a historical event up in the Stony Point battlefield. There will be a reading of a document by an officer in General Washington’s army and the firing of muskets, rifles and cannons. That event starts at 2:45 pm.
Lastly, Haverstraw has postponed its fireworks for July 5th at Helen Hayes Hospital. Enjoy the live music starting at 7 pm, kids rides and food. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, parking is $5 and admission is free.
