Things got heated in Provident Bank Park yesterday.
The highlight of the game wasn’t the hitting or the pitching, but Boulders Manager Jamie Keefe being tossed after a heated argument with the homeplate umpire in the bottom of the seventh and before being ejected, unloading a bucket of practice baseballs onto the field.
Keefe was one of three people thrown out yesterday, Boulders catcher Scott Knazek and Quebec’s Manager also joined Keefe shortly after.
The Boulders were on top in the bottom of the second thanks to home runs from Jerod Edmonson and Knazek, leading 5-1, but that was short lived.
Boulders starter Pat Moran allowed six walks in 4 innings. Moran still leads the can-am league with 47 strikeouts.
The Boulders fell to Quebec 9-7.
